I have been taking lesson at Ballroom Surge for several months now. It has been a good experience. It has been helping me a lot to know more types of styles of dance then the swaying back and forth or randomly faking steps that may look a little off beat like many guys tend to just know. The dance styles have been from classic Ballroom to country or club line dancing so far. My instructor Gilda, has been working me through my paces, adjusting routines based on how fast or slow she thinks I can handle it. Another good part that I have really been enjoying is the studio’s song selection brings the classical steps to more modern songs. For example, I learned a Rumba routing to Coldplay, and I am now learning a combination of Foxtrot and West Coast swing to an acoustic version of a Michael Jackson song. It is definitely worth stopping in, trying a lesson, and seeing where you would like to go from there.
